Ashley & Evan’s Wedding at Sunrise Amphitheater and The Studio Boulder
Ashley and Evan’s August 16, 2025 wedding was a stunning blend of natural beauty and joyful celebration, set against the breathtaking mountain views of Sunrise Amphitheater and the modern charm of The Studio Boulder. Captured by Red Bank Studio, their day reflected everything that makes Colorado weddings unforgettable—sunlight, emotion, and the kind of laughter that fills the air all day long.
Getting Ready in Boulder
The morning began at a spacious Airbnb nestled on Red Hill Road, where Ashley was surrounded by her closest family and friends. The early light poured through the windows as Cindy and Asya Zhivotovsky, Jessica Zhivotovsky, Julia Fiorentino, and Nancy Fickel shared coffee, laughter, and the happy chaos of getting ready. Hair and makeup arrived by 6:00 a.m., transforming the morning into a flurry of beauty and anticipation.
Ashley’s wedding gown hung elegantly near a sunlit window, ready for the 9:00 a.m. reveal. Before leaving for the ceremony, she shared a tender first look with her father at 9:15 a.m., a private moment filled with emotion and pride.
In another corner of the Airbnb, Evan prepared for the day with calm excitement. Although his prep was simple, his anticipation for seeing Ashley brought an extra spark to every moment. Both exchanged heartfelt letters in the morning, setting a deeply personal tone for the rest of the day—a reflection of the thoughtful, grounded love they share.
Ceremony at Sunrise Amphitheater
At 11:00 a.m., guests gathered at Sunrise Amphitheater—a natural stone amphitheater perched high on Flagstaff Mountain, overlooking Boulder Valley. The setting could not have been more perfect: sweeping mountain views, crisp morning air, and soft natural light filtering through the pines.
The ceremony, approximately 30 minutes long, blended traditional and modern touches. From heartfelt vows and the ring exchange to the breaking of the glass and that magical first kiss, every moment radiated emotion. The mountain breeze seemed to carry the sound of their laughter and cheers of loved ones, echoing through the canyons below.
Family and Bridal Party Portraits
After the ceremony, family portraits began at 11:45 a.m., followed by the bridal party gathering at 12:15 p.m.. With the stunning backdrop of Sunrise Amphitheater, we captured a mix of professional and playful shots—bridesmaids sharing laughter, groomsmen joking around, and the entire wedding party celebrating together.
The portraits reflected the couple’s personalities—joyful, genuine, and connected. Ashley, though she described herself as “a bit shy around the camera,” shone with natural grace as we guided her through gentle poses and candid interactions with Evan. Her request for help to “look more fluid and lively” was easily met in the relaxed, loving energy between them.
Couples Portraits at Sunrise Amphitheater
The couple’s portraits at 12:30 p.m. were an absolute highlight of the day. With breathtaking mountain scenery surrounding them, Ashley and Evan shared quiet, intimate moments together—forehead kisses, twirls, hand-in-hand walks, and smiles that came effortlessly. The natural light at midday glowed softly against the rugged stone amphitheater, creating a cinematic atmosphere that perfectly matched the couple’s vision.
We captured timeless images like the twirl photo, walking towards the camera, and the classic chin grab, blending editorial elegance with heartfelt authenticity. These portraits will forever remind them of the serenity and strength of that moment high above Boulder.
Reception at The Studio Boulder
By early afternoon, guests traveled from the mountain ceremony to The Studio Boulder at 3550 Frontier Ave, Suite A2, where the celebration continued. The venue’s modern industrial design provided a striking contrast to the mountain backdrop—a creative space filled with warm lighting, unique art pieces, and the buzz of celebration.
The reception began at 12:30 p.m., welcoming guests with the couple’s grand entrance, followed by a romantic first dance that set the tone for the afternoon. Heartfelt toasts by the Maid of Honor, Best Man, and both mothers filled the room with laughter and happy tears.
The dances were deeply personal—Ashley with her father, Evan with his mother, and an especially emotional surprise dance between Ashley and her mother, which had the entire room cheering.
Later in the day, an ice cream food truck arrived as a whimsical and refreshing treat, perfectly capturing the couple’s playful side. Guests mingled, danced, and enjoyed the relaxed Colorado vibe, while our cinematography team documented every beautiful candid moment—from spontaneous laughter to the final spins on the dance floor.
