A Natural Celebration at Tatum Park
Erica and Chris’s October 5, 2025 wedding at Tatum Park (Holland Activity Center, Middletown Township, NJ) was a beautiful blend of nature, intimacy, and heartfelt moments. With rustic green woods, soft afternoon light, and a relaxed timeline, Tatum Park provided the ideal setting for their romantic, personal celebration. Their day felt genuine — full of emotion, subtle details, and joy — and we were honored to capture it in our signature timeless style.
Getting Ready & Meaningful First Looks
The day began at 1:00 PM at the Holland Activity Center, where Erica got ready with Peggy and Amanda Pierson. As makeup wrapped up at 1:45 PM, the excitement built: by 2:00 PM Erica was slipping into her dress, every detail thoughtfully captured. At 2:45 PM, Erica shared a touching first look with her dad, a tender, emotional moment we framed with care to preserve the love and nostalgia.
Meanwhile, Chris prepared nearby starting at 1:30 PM. In the quiet of the morning, the couple exchanged heartfelt cards — an intimate gesture, just for them, that set the tone for the day.
Portraits Amid Nature & Vintage Charm
At 3:00 PM, we moved outside into Tatum Park’s natural surroundings for the couple portrait session. Surrounded by trees and soft light, Erica and Chris shared gentle, romantic moments. If the planned vintage car appeared, we wove it in — lending a timeless, elegant feel to their photos. The result: portraits that feel both organic and classic, beautifully reflecting their personalities and the park’s charm.
Family Photos & Intimate Ceremony
By 4:00 PM, family gathered for portraits — capturing grandparents, siblings, and close relatives in meaningful groupings that will become treasured heirlooms.
At 5:00 PM, the couple’s ceremony took place in a simple, heartfelt setting at the activity center/grounds. Though short, the ceremony was full of warmth: vows, soft smiles, quiet tears, and the beginning of their life together — all framed with gentle, natural lighting and sincere emotion.
Cocktail Hour & Reception — Celebrating in Comfort and Joy
Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktail hour at 5:30 PM. During this time, we captured quiet, private moments between Erica and Chris — a chance to breathe, smile, and reflect. Around 6:15 PM, as cousins, aunts, and uncles mingled, we captured extended family photos to commemorate the gathering.
The reception kicked off at 6:30 PM. Highlights included:
-
Their First Dance
-
A change of outfits for the couple
-
Father-Daughter and Groom-Mom dances during salad service
-
Speeches from the Father of the Bride, Best Man, and Bride’s Sister during dinner
-
Family photos with the groom’s side (per request)
-
A side-corner cake cutting (for natural, candid coverage)
Because the couple requested full sound on speeches and thorough coverage of dances, we captured both video and stills — preserving laughter, heartfelt toasts, candid joy, and loving glances that made the evening feel deeply personal and genuine.
