A Historic & Elegant Celebration at The Ryland Inn
Aaliyah and Gerber’s wedding on October 9, 2025 at The Ryland Inn in Whitehouse Station, NJ was a beautiful blend of historic charm, intimate moments, and joyful celebration. Set within the 1796-origin estate turned elegant event venue, their day unfolded among exposed wood beams, romantic chandeliers, and timeless architectural details — the perfect backdrop for their meaningful ceremony and festivities.
From the quiet start of preparations to a warm reception among friends and family, each moment felt intentional and heartfelt.
Getting Ready & First Look
The day began at 11:00 AM at The Ryland Inn (house / getting-ready suites), where Aaliyah prepared for the day. Although no additional names were listed to join her, our coverage focused on the quiet, emotional moments: dress details, natural light in the rooms, and the anticipation of the day ahead.
At 1:00 PM, Aaliyah shared a tender first look with her dad — a moment full of emotion, pride, and love. Capturing that connection in the historic interior light of Ryland Inn provided a beautiful, timeless memory.
Meanwhile, Gerber got ready at 12:00 PM at the same venue. At some point during the preparations, his mom came over — a meaningful family touch we documented to reflect the support and bonding behind the scenes.
Couple Portraits & Bridal Party Candids
At 1:15 PM, we guided Aaliyah and Gerber into their couple portrait session around The Ryland Inn grounds and interior spaces. The venue’s mix of rustic elegance — stone fireplaces, exposed beams, vintage ambiance — allowed for both romantic and classic portraits, perfectly suited to their style.
At 2:00 PM, the bridal party joined for group and candid photos. With the Inn’s historic charm, we captured not only formal portraits but also spontaneous laughter, meaningful glances, and emotional moments among friends, adding depth and warmth to the wedding gallery.
Family Photos & Ceremony
Family portraits took place at 3:15 PM, giving space for extended family members to gather and capture memories in the Inn’s beautiful interior or cozy grounds.
The ceremony began at 4:30 PM, in a short but heartfelt service. We carefully documented the vows, ring exchange, and first kiss — moments that will resonate for years. The historic and elegant setting of The Ryland Inn — with its farmhouse-meets-refined-ballroom feel — lent a timeless quality to the ceremony images.
Cocktail Hour & Reception — Celebrating with Style and Joy
Cocktail hour started at 5:00 PM, giving guests time to mingle and enjoy the charm and ambiance of The Ryland Inn. We captured extended family mingling and intimate moments between the newlyweds in the softly lit spaces before the main event.
The reception began at 6:00 PM. Highlights of the evening included:
-
Grand entrance of the couple and wedding party
-
First Dance
-
Parent dances
-
Speeches and toasts
-
Bouquet toss
-
Table dash (pending discussion with DJ)
-
Cake cutting — captured candidly, off to the side
Between cheering guests, emotional speeches, and the joy of dancing and celebration, the night was a beautiful mix of elegance and heartfelt fun. Our photography and video coverage ensured that every meaningful glance, laugh, and tear was preserved with care.
Why The Ryland Inn Is a Standout NJ Wedding Venue
The Ryland Inn is more than a venue — it is a historic estate with deep roots, transformed into one of New Jersey’s most elegant wedding destinations. With exposed wood beams, chandeliers, fireplaces, and versatile event spaces (Grand Ballroom or Coach House), it blends rustic heritage with refined sophistication.
Whether for intimate gatherings or larger celebrations, its flexibility, timeless aesthetics, and warm ambiance make it ideal for couples who appreciate history, character, and elegance — just like Aaliyah & Gerber.
If you’re planning a wedding at The Ryland Inn or elsewhere in NJ, we’d love to help you capture every emotion and detail.
