Getting Ready at The Wilshire in West Orange
Rowena and Eric’s wedding day on June 14, 2025, was a radiant celebration of love—rain and all. Set entirely at the elegant Wilshire Caterers in West Orange, New Jersey, their day flowed beautifully from prep to party, despite the unpredictable weather.
Rowena began her day surrounded by her dearest friends—Natalia, Michelle, Bronwyn, and Shane—who brought warmth and excitement to the bridal suite. With laughter echoing through the halls and soft lighting casting a romantic glow, Red Bank Studio captured every cherished moment, from makeup touch-ups to the emotional gown reveal.
Meanwhile, in the groom’s suite, Eric shared quiet moments and a few hearty laughs with his groomsmen—Jonathan, Richard, Brandon, and Fred. These pre-ceremony memories are always a favorite of ours to document, and the intimate space at The Wilshire provided the perfect backdrop.
Rainy Day Portraits at Verona Park Bridge
Despite the rain, Rowena and Eric ventured out for a first look and couple’s portraits at Verona Park Bridge, nestled beside Verona Lake in Verona, NJ. With umbrellas in hand and hearts full of joy, the bride walked gracefully toward the groom. As Eric turned around, the emotional reveal was nothing short of magical.
The rain only added to the romance—reflections on the bridge, glistening leaves, and cozy embraces made for some of the most cinematic and heartfelt imagery. At Red Bank Studio, we love embracing weather’s unpredictability to create something truly one-of-a-kind.
Bridal Party and Family Photos Indoors
Back at The Wilshire, the bridal party and family sessions transitioned indoors. Thanks to the venue’s luxurious interiors, we were able to capture timeless portraits of the full bridal party—including fun combinations of the bride with groomsmen and groom with bridesmaids. The soft lighting and stately decor helped turn indoor limitations into beautiful backdrops.
A Heartfelt Indoor Ceremony
As guests arrived for the 5:30 PM ceremony, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The couple exchanged vows in a short but deeply emotional ceremony inside The Wilshire’s grand indoor space. The groom’s look as he awaited Rowena at the altar, the guests’ heartfelt reactions, and the moment the newlyweds walked back up the aisle—all were documented in signature Red Bank Studio style.
Cocktail Hour and Reception at The Wilshire
With rain still falling, cocktail hour took place indoors. The venue’s wine cellar and covered garden provided stunning spaces for portraits with close family and friends. Guests sipped drinks, enjoyed hors d’oeuvres, and celebrated the couple with laughter and hugs—each interaction captured with warmth and detail.
At 7 PM, the reception kicked off with an energy that lit up the room. The first dance, father-daughter and mother-son moments, and heartfelt speeches by the best man, maid of honor, and the newlyweds themselves made the evening deeply personal. Later, cake cutting and a lively dance floor kept spirits high through the night.
Rowena and Eric’s wedding is proof that rain can’t stop joy—it only adds to the story. From tearful vows to late-night dancing, Red Bank Studio was honored to capture every elegant moment of this unforgettable day.
